Porteño: Describes anything that is particular to Buenos Aires. If something is really authentically of this city, it can be described as very porteño. The people who live in Buenos Aires are also referred to as Porteños.
Picadas: Meat and cheese platter, usually comes with bread. It’s basically fancy cold cuts, plus olives and maybe some other garnishes.
Parrilla: Barbecue
Morcilla: Blood sausage
Bife de Chorizo: good cut of meat, not as lean as lomo.
Brochette: kebab, or meat on a stick, usually with pancetta (bacon), green bell peppers, and onions on there as well.
Heladeria: Ice cream parlor.
Granizado: with chocolate chips
Dulce de Leche: Caramel
